Urban Dystopia

So I’m sure that anyone who has followed my blog at all has noticed a trend – that I love apocalyptic cityscapes. I’m always drawn to the destroyed urban centers of Second Life, because each one is so different from the last. This particular one – Binemust – is very, very cool. Lots of little details in the ruins, you just have to explore and pay attention to everything.

Cool Summer

It’s August already! Wow, this year is moving by so fast. I must admit, I’m really looking forward to next month – I’m not a guy who likes the heat, and Autumn is by far my favorite season. Today in Indiana we seem to be getting a taste of Fall already – it’s only about 60° out! For August here, that’s just unheard of.

In Second Life of course, I can wear anything anywhere, regardless of the temperature or occasion. I have a huge affinity for really well-tailored jackets and suits, and I really like this double breasted number from Ascend available at Fameshed. It fits really well, and it comes with a HUD to change the shirt color. I would love to see an option to go without the shirt, or have a tee under it, but apart from that it’s perfect. And you can get it in so many colors and cloth types!

So today’s post isn’t exactly the most inspired, but I really liked this SIM, and it’s closting July 5th, so I just had to do a post on it. It’s a wonderfully exotic, beachy locale with probably my favorite Windlight setting so far. Seriously, check it out.

Also featured in this post is this great skin from 7 Deadly s{K}ins. It’s just L$75 for group members and it includes Omega body appliers. I’m also wearing one of Modulus’ Skin Fair items, Jarek, and I have to say I really like this hair and hairbase. Finish it off with some awesome shorts from Ascend and what is probably the best-fitting tee on the grid from Cold Ash, and I’m ready to have fun in the sun!
